‘Tis the season to share profound insights on last year and what we hope for in the upcoming year.
Yeah, no. I’m not really feeling that flow.
Every year has its ups and downs. This year I had a really big “down”, but I also had a really big “up”. And of course, there are lots of little things in between that I got to celebrate and others that I have dreaded.
But the end of the year really is a time for contemplation. For me, it’s pretty great because I have two weeks off from my “day job”, so there’s a good amount of time to actually ponder the meaning of life, straighten some closets, and binge-watch whatever I’ve been missing on Netflix for the last 3 months. So, as I succumbed to the hype of “Bird Box” and wasted more time on social media than I’d like to admit, I have actually taken a few moments to consider what I hope for in 2019.
I hope that I make good choices. I hope that my interactions with people have a positive impact on their lives, in whatever way they may require. I hope that people will be kinder with each other.
And of course, I hope that more people will stick up for animals and be their voice when they are not being heard. I hope to get to share those voices with many more of you in this upcoming year.
Happy New Year! Cheers!
